When you hire me to capture video or edit your raw footage for a horse production – you will get the benefits of:

My 30 years as a rider and competitor in three day eventing, dressage & jumpers investing up to $175 for 45 minutes of clinic instruction in clinics with Karen O’Connor, Eric Horgan, and am currently lessoning monthly with Uwe Steiner.

Video Capture & Editing for Productions - $95/hr

There is a 1 hour min. for on-site video capture, and if your horse is clean, braided, and ready for footage at liberty or under saddle- you should not need more than that. Your final production will be about 3 minutes long, so for a professional sales DVD with 5 copies, plan to budget $430. If you would like your production posted on your website, YouTube or Vimeo this can be done for an additional flat fee of $45. If you would like me to capture footage to create a 2 min web clip on YouTube or your website this can usually be done for about $325.

Video Scrapbooks

Editing time takes on average 1 hour per 1 minute of finished production, For example, if you send me 15 minutes of raw footage and I edit your best riding timed with transitions, digital pictures and slow motion to 3 1/2 minutes of music, it will cost about $400 for the 15 minutes to review the raw footage, then capture about 5 minutes of your best riding from that footage to edit to 3 1/2 music timed to transitions and movement.

If you hire me with a few friends to film you at a special horse show –group discount pricing is available.

Clinics

There is a 3 –4 person minimum (depending on location and drive time). If I film with my camera, I offer a discount off my $110/hr rate, as I understand you are already investing a significant expense in your ride. The cost is a flat rate of $75 for 45 min for my big fancy camera to eat the barn dust as I video with my big fancy tripod, complete with a request of the clinician for a photo with you and your riding. Then I take your footage home to download to my big fancy computer and big fancy video hard drives, capture digital pictures from video to use in your custom DVD menu and customer DVD label, package and ship it to you within 1 week.

Some customer arrange ahead of time to have their own camcorder with fully charged battery and tape, and I use my big fancy fluid head tripod and my 8 years experience to capture quality footage then hand their camcorder back to them, for only $40.
